Classic stacking and sorting fun that introduces baby to shapes
Open a bucket of fun for your little one with Baby’s First Blocks. These chunky, colourful blocks help introduce colours and shapes as babies sort, stack and drop the blocks through the slots in the bucket lid. Empty the bucket to start the fun over again and again! And with an easy-carry handle, you can take Baby’s First Blocks wherever you and your tiny tot go.

Exciting put & take play! Your baby will love putting the blocks in the bucket one by one, and then dumping the bucket to see all the colourful blocks come tumbling out—over and over again! And while they’re having fun, they’re exercising important developing skills too, like hand-eye coordination, and thinking and problem solving skills. |
The fun “grows” with baby Baby’s First Blocks “grows” with your baby’s developing skills. When your baby’s ready for a challenge, the shape sorter lid fits right on top of the bucket for sorting and matching play. Five shaped openings encourage little ones to drop the shape blocks through their corresponding openings. And when they’re done, it’s fun to dump the bucket and start it all again! |
Oh My! Baby’s First Blocks is a fun way for you to extend play into an early-learning opportunity for baby, introducing baby to colours counting and shapes as you play together. As baby puts blocks into the bucket, identify colours (“That block is red…”), shapes (“Look, that’s a triangle!”), and counting, as baby puts all 10 blocks into the bucket one by one. Pretty soon you’ll be able to ask baby to find a red block, or a triangle block—and even count! |

This is one of the best toys given to our little granddaughter and worth every penny. It can be played with in so many different ways and support a baby’s development through so many stages. She had it from about 6 months old, when she could put the shapes in and out of the box and pass them to and fro with anyone who played with her, then she showed an interest in selecting the shapes that she liked best (always the 2 purple ones!). Gradually she has moved on to actually trying to put the shapes in the correct holes. We still have full shape sorter mode and learning the colours to go. It is an absolute favourite with her. She usually chooses it from other toys in the toy box. Lots of opportunity for baby/adult interaction – probably one of the reasons she likes it so much.

I got this for my baby when she was 6 months old, she is now 9 months and she always loves playing with this toy. She mostly just put the shapes in her mouth up until recently, now there is an attempt being made to put the shapes through the holes. She does have loads of fun banging the shapes together and tossing the shapes out of the bucket. It is a bit annoying that the top doesn’t clip down or anything so she just pulls it off right away most times. She does enjoy banging this bit off the shapes but does kind of defeat the purpose of trying to figure out sorting the shapes. This could be down to age also though as like I say she has recently started to make some attempt at sorting although it’s usually not long before the lid gets taken off still. It’s also good that the shapes only fit into their matched shape. As in a lot if sorting toys all the shapes can fit into the square hole but not on this toy so that was another positive. All round it is a good educational toy which I think a baby can grow with and enjoy in different ways at different stages.

Great toy for one year old.
My granddaughter (who is eleven months old) absolutely loves this basket with shapes. She liked it from the moment she saw it. She loves playing with the various shapes and practicing popping them in their respective places. Great price too!
