I ordered this to be compact when away and to fit an awkward sized gap. Installation was fairly straightforward. No issues in use beyond it being a little tricky one handed due to its flexibility. No complex steps to open and close.I bought this for a dog gate and it’s great for my dog, a strong or boisterous dog may be able to push through but mine us small.I think the strength needed would prevent very young children from opening this.Retracts well without catching.I’d definitely recommend for unusual spaces or where a solid gate would be awkward or unwieldy.A good price for the build and quality.

Used as a deterrent for my dog and wanted something that was not permanently in place like a baby gate that is always there but this is perfect. It can stay open without causing obstruction and stay opened and more pleasing on the eye then a metal gate.I wouldn’t use this at the top of the stairs or somewhere that you need to keep a pet out of or a dog. As I don’t think it’s strong enough for that. But as a deterrent it’s perfect

It does the job, but if you want something that looks symmetrical and nice, maybe try a different product. Not that easy to use and always one of the sides will be longer or shorter, which makes it harder to operate.

This is a must for anyone with stairs, or for windows that cannot be locked. We have one for our stairs; this one was bought to go across the lounge windows to prevent our toddler from falling out. It was easy to install, retractable if needs be, it is lockable, washable and is worth every penny. I think all double stories, apartments, etc where there are children, should invest in these.

Where do I start. The paper stencils for the screws are helpful, which is probably the only one good thing I can say about this purchase. I have absolutely ruined our walls and staircase putting this together (after just decorating!) the wall plugs are too short for the long screws to start with. After lots of drilling and screwing, the catches weren’t aligned, so had to move across, drilling more holes. That was pointless. The handles lock into place ONLY with the upmost force (which with a baby is tow is not easy and quite dangerous on the stairs). When you twist the lock into place once closed, the tension loosens, making the bottom handle fall out of the lock making this absolutely pointless. Granted a refund will be given on return, but who’s going to pay for the time and materials to clean up the god awful mess this has created? Terrible purchase and complete waste of time. Do not buy!!
