After months of shopping around for a cot I found it really difficult to find one that would fit our nursery. In the end I gave up because they were all at least 10cm too big, or in the case of a sleigh style 15-20cm too big. That was until I found this cot.Initially I saw it for sale on Wayfair but it didnt come with a mattress, that was extra. It would have worked out £4 cheaper to purchase the cot and mattress from Wayfair but having never used them before I was unsure what their return policy was or how good they were should I encounter a fault.I read the reviews and took into consideration the cot may be a little difficult to put together but I was up for the challenge. The cot arrive much sooner than expected. Initially at the unboxing stage everything was very well packaged, though the parts felt a bit flimsy and cheap. This concern was laid to rest once the cot was fully assembled as it now feels very sturdy, all apart from the drop side, it’s okay but in my opinion could do with being more sturdy.Building the cot wasnt exactly straight forward and I had to use both the YouTube Video and paper manual to work out what was going on. In all it took me about 90minute to do, and in that time i had take it apart again several times as things were the wrong way round etc.Whilst constructing the cot I found the centre support had a hair line split in the wood and the drop side cot had a poor finish to the right side bar of the drop side, there was a lack of wood filler and paint, clearly exposing the join which made it look unsightly. I contacted the seller who called me first thing the following morning and agreed to send me the spare parts out. The seller was polite and friendly. The parts arrived the next day after speaking with the seller about this.Despite a few niggley problems with this cot at first, which the seller was very quick and willing to resolve, I am really please with it.Overall the cot is lovely, the mattress seems nice also.Only time will tell if the baby likes it too!

Really great item which we received yesterday. The shipping was quick and even after a mishap with me not being home in the delivery window, I called Richard at the customer services line and he was able to amend the delivery address for me no problem. This was extremely helpful. We tackled putting the Cot Bed up last night and it did take a while, however the look of the item afterwards is great.Putting together the cot is VERY Confusing. It’s doable with two people but I would not recommend trying to do this alone as it’s tricky and fidgety. I must say the instructions are not as clear as they potentially could be, and I would suggest counting each screw and matching the numbers against the page showing what is included (the screws do not LOOK like the screws on the photo – but the screw count will help match them up – this part is key). There were some previous comments about people missing screws, but all screws etc were in our pack we received.I was concerned after reading some reviews about the paint smell when the item is taken out of the box – I have to say that this was not the case for us. Each part of the item did look freshly painted and I think we spotted 1 small paint chip on the inside of one piece, but every other part was in great condition and there was no paint smell. The draw is on a wooden runner so it’s not the usual metal type runners, but this makes it very sturdy. When putting this together you have three options, to but the bed at the bottom option (which is what we agreed matches the photo here on amazon) and it looks fantastic. If you select this bottom option there are TWO pieces of the cot you will NOT have to use for assembly. These are only required if you use the middle or top section for the bed.We are super happy with the Cot bed and are confident that should we have had any issues, the Babymore customer services team (contact details found in the Q&A Section of the item page) would be more than happy to help. The mattress included is honestly fantastic and it’s so soft and squishy. I expected it to be quite mediocre but I’m very happy with what we received. PLEASE ENSURE YOU CHECK THE MATTRESS BEFORE TAKING OFF THE SEAL – as I believe this voids the returns policy.

This is a great crib. I was looking for a crib with a drawer as well as a drop side and was happy to find this one. It took about 2 hours to make with the help of grandad and looks fantastic. It is very sturdy, the mattress is comfortable and the drawer underneath is spacious. I was worried that my co-sleeping baby wouldn’t take to it – so far we’ve tried the Chicco Next to Me and the Halo Swivel Bassinet both of which have not been a success, which I imagine in part is due to the mattress not feeling too comfortable but this however has been a success (with a considerably thicker mattress). The only downside is that the drop side does make a fairly loud ‘click’ when pulling back up into the lock position but with the white noise playing loudly it doesn’t seem to disturb my sleeping baby.I highly recommend

We are expecting two more grandchildren this year. Previously I used a travel cot when baby 1 arrived but some years have passed and I wanted something more 60+ friendly to avoid lowering a sleeping little one to floor level. So I looked around for a cot bed, with a drop side. I’m not very tall and the lack of a dropside can lead to similar difficulties when the mattress is set at the lowest position for an older baby / toddler. Due to the change in safety regs for dropside cots mainly in the USA, there are not so many dropside cots on the UK market. I chose this Eva Sleigh Cot bed as it fitted all my requirements. Delivery was in the promised time scale and by Tuffnells. I was notified of a delivery date but we were going to be away so I tried to rearrange on line – not possible, I rang the courier and it was not possible to rearrange by phone either. I was told a missed delivery card would be left and we could rearrange. When we arrived home on evening of the delivery date the mattress and the cot box were propped by our side gate. There was a hole in the outer cardboard packaging but fortunately the contents were undamaged. It took the two of us just over an hour to assemble – a ratchet was really helpful in tightening the fixing screws as doing them by hand with the enclosed Allen key would have been much more time consuming. The finished cot looks great and exactly as I hoped. All the pieces were enclosed an undamaged. As a previous review advised, we sorted and labelled the piles of different length screws etc before we started and this really helped avoid any confusion especially as they look different to the instruction booklet images. . My only negative comment and the reason for one less than 5 stars, is that the drop side mechanism seems overly complex and rather clunky. We had to resort to watching the YouTube video of assembling this section as the booklet instructions are not that clear. Looking back I wish I had not sold my own childrens drop side cots 30 years ago! I think this cot is a good buy and purchased with the foam mattress ( which is hard not squishy ) mattress waterproof and fitted sheets, was a very reasonable price.

This was an amazing buy. Looks very stylish and is very strong. It states it will be deliver in 3-7 working days n I received mine in just 2 as I placed my order on Sunday evening so was really happy with the delivery. Also was not to difficult to build myself and my sister put this together within 2hours had a few probs with the drop side as the instructions we not as clear as the rest of instructions. I did have to call the Custmer service line as the drawer was very stiff for me as I have very weak hands it the adviser was very very helpful and help deal with the problem and I no longer have a stiff drawer also one of the sides was scratched witch was quite deep m it bothers me as I hope this item will keep my baby girl going for a littel while but the adviser was more then happy to send me a replacement part which was lovely too. An amazing cot bed u can’t go wrong with this buy!!

After assembling the cot is felt its bit underrated. The cot arrive much sooner than expected. the unboxing stage everything was very well packaged,ad parts felt t high-quality and heavy. You can 2 person to assambled it as part are quite heavy and it’s but difficult for a single person to hold and fit it.In all it took me about 90minute to do, and in that time i had take it apart again several times as things were the wrong way round etc. It’s rock soild and very steady Cot parcel was delivered in part (mattress and cot)I contacted the seller The seller was polite and friendly. I’d like to start this review by commenting on how excellent Babymore were in issuing a refund when I sent I returned the product. The star rating for this review is solely for the cot bed and not the company. Babymore were professional, polite and very helpful.**DO NOT OPEN THE MATTRESS UNTIL YOU ARE FULLY SATISFIED WITH THE COT BED. MATTRESS CANNOT BE RETURNED ONCE OPENED.**Before ordering this cot bed, I read as many of the reviews as possible, and decided it was worth ordering – I wish I had not. At £180, it’s at the lower end of the price range for cot beds, but as a family expecting their first child, it’s still a large expense, so I was still hoping for a good quality product. Although the cot bed looks really nice and stylish, it just doesn’t possess the quality I thought it would. I’m not over critical or pedantic, I’m just honest and expect a reasonable product for the money I pay.No onto the cot bed:1. This cot bed is made from cheap, lightweight pine. This means that the wood is very soft so the cot bed I received had lots of small marks, dents and scrapes in the wood which had been painted over in white. These were most likely caused before transit, as they had been painted over. When you’ve decorated your nursery and ordered lots of other nice pieces of furniture, you want the cot bed to be just as nice.2. Due to the weight of the wood, the cot didn’t feel as heavy or sturdy as I’d have liked when assembled. I don’t feel completely confident that it would withstand a toddler jumping about and moving in it, especially when converted to a bed. I’d be very surprised if this lasts 4 years.3. The instructions are not intuitive at all. Think Ikea, without any words, and even less clear instructions. I did manage to build it quite quickly, however, having built lots of Ikea products, I have some experience. The instructions definitely need to be made clearer.4. The drop-side was a nightmare to fit and to get working properly. This was the main reason I decided to return the cot bed. It didn’t fit flush (something others had noted in their reviews) and it was really noisy to move up and down. I can’t imagine anyone being able to use this properly without waking a baby up, so it probably wouldn’t get used. Every time I tried to take it off to ensure the pins were in correctly, I found it really difficult and was worried the sides were going to get scraped and marked.I was informed that in order to meet European test safety standards, extra mechanisms were added to the side, hence it didn’t fit flush. Two additional pieces of wood are to be used to get it to sit straight, but this is not outlined in the instructions. Personally, even with the additional pieces, I wouldn’t feel 100% confident that it was all correctly assembled and safe for my child. Although it meets the safety standards, that’s only if it’s 100% correctly assembled, something that is not easy to ensure with those instructions.5. When screwing the bolts in, they cannot be tightened without the heads taking the paint off underneath and around the bolt head. You simply cannot avoid this without leaving the bolts slack – thus making the cot bed less sturdy than it already is. When you decide to lower the mattress down as the baby gets older (there are three different heights to choose from), you’d be left with visible marks where the bolts used to be due to the paint coming off.Overall, I most certainly wouldn’t recommend buying this product. Try going to some shops and looking at cot beds to get an idea of price and quality. You’ll be surprised by what you can get for the same price and much better quality. I certainly was. I ordered another cot bed (that I had viewed in the shop) which was the same price but was made from far stronger wood, better paint finish and I am completely satisfied that the cot bed is safe and will withstand an active baby/toddler.Again, no disrespect to Babymore who were very helpful, kind and organised, just a shame their cot bed wasn’t as good as their customer service.

Instructions are poorly laid out. Had to undo and redo several times. The paint coating is not great, it was already starting to crack in some areas and in some parts it had actually chipped off. Where the paint was cracking, it felt quite splintery and could cut baby’s skin! We will fix this ourselves but take note when you unpack. Inspect it carefully before assembling. Lastly the drop side is useless and dangerous! It doesn’t just slide up and down, you have to manoeuvre it a certain way to lower it and again when you lift it up and if you don’t do the action quite right it comes out of it’s fixings. On all occasions the drop side would be come out of it’s fixing and left half hanging off making a gap where the mattress is and where the drop side should be. If a baby/toddler decided to grab it and give it a shake I dread to think what could happen. We fixed ours in place so that couldn’t happen. The overall shape is nice.

This cot looks good, was fine to assemble between 2 people using the video, and the paint smell other people mention went away with time and was not an issue for us. The mattress is good, there were a few very minor defects in the protective cover that were only visible after opening it, but it is still perfectly useable.Unfortunately the whole reason for buying it, the dropside function, doesn’t seem to work (we can drop it but it gets stuck in the lowered position and won’t be raised back to the full height). Furthermore, even with dropping it it’s incredibly loud and shakes the whole cot so there’s no way a sleeping baby will remain asleep. When we asked for help from the manufacturer, we were sent the troubleshooting guide which unfortunately didn’t resolve it, and our subsequent request for assistance wasn’t replied to.The cot is fine as a standard cot. But we are disappointed as the reason we bought this specific one was purely for the dropside. Dropside cots are hard to come by so there is limited choice/ market competition which might be a factor here. We wouldn’t buy this again.
